Here comes a fantastic collaboration between producers, Erik L & Illingsworth, and the homie Sene. You may remember Sene’s ADayLate&ADollarShort, which Erik L handled most of the post-production after Blu was doing cooking up the groundwork. This cut right here will appear on Erik L & Illingsworth’s upcoming album, Northern Connection, via Still Siblings Entertainment. I don’t know about you, but this is one of the best joints I have heard recently. The production is marvelous and the vocal effects add a very interesting side to things. Tomorrow marks the release of Sene’s solo LP, ADayLate&ADollarShort, which will be produced entirely by Blu GODLee Barnes. I received my advance last week and I feel it is my duty to urge you all to invest in this fine piece of music when it drops. You are in store for quite a treat, as Sene spits some very introspective and fun rhymes, while Blu shows us that he is not only one of the finest emcees. With all the promotional joints dropping from Sene over the past few months, we finally get our first taste at his highly anticipated debut LP, entirely produced by Blu. The album is called ADayLate&ADollarShort, and you will be able to cop that off Shaman Works on October 13th. For now, I am going to let the words of Sene himself describe this track…

“We wanted to go gospel choir on this one..for the chorus that’s what I was feeling.  I was in LA when I wrote this…Back and forth stressing with the business end of this project, spending so much time wanting to make sure things went right that I felt like I was missing out on everything around me, one day I woke up and felt like a month passed me and i didnt get to experience a day of it…I started self evaluating events in my life that lead  to that point.”

After a few delays, Sene’s mixtape, Maltas & Music, has finally arrived. In fact, Sene will be releasing his solo debut, ADayLate&ADollarShort, produced enitrely by Blu, October 13th! Here is your first peak at the upcoming mixtape from Sene, called Maltas & Music, flavored by Sucio Smash of High Water Music, which will be dropping September 15th. This particular track features production from Blu as GODlee Barnes as well as post-production from Erik L. Something a little  different for you than what you can expect on Sene’s LP, A Day Late & A Dollar Short, which will be release on October 14th, via Shaman Recordings and featuring full production from Blu as well. Major props to Objektiv for the fine artwork as usual on this one!
