This is just the type of song I am looking for heading into the weekend. The homies Killing Skills team up with Redlight Boogie and Sean Price to create an absolute BANGER. I have had this song on repeat now the past hour or so, and I don’t see an end coming any time soon. Check it out and enjoy the weekend…
Five Finger Discount is a remix compilation originally produced by Providence, Rhode Island beatsmith, Falside. A follow up to his instrumental tape Bugs In Ya’ Teef, Five Finger Discount is another addition to this talented young producer’s growing digital download series. Available for free download, this installment represents the different styles of Falside’s vastly diverse production. This compilation displays a form of Falside’s production rarely heard previous to this release, “the remix.” These 14 remixed tracks make it clear that his work behind the boards can be applied to all styles and tastes. Emcees featured on here range from some of hip-hop’s biggest names (Lil’ Wayne) to local favorites (Dirty Hank) to underground luminaries (Kev Brown). Hit the jump for the tracklist and, as always, let us know what you think.
One of our favorite up-and-coming producers, who also hails from the small-ass state I call home, is dropping a fresh and free remix project on Oct. 28. Falside’s Five Finger Discount features remixes of some of hip-hop’s best, which include Sean Price, J-Live, Kev Brown, and many others. We (PIMB) also happen to be one of FFD’s sponsors, along with the likes of Leedz Edutainment and Digsafe Records. Enjoy the video and hit the jump for the artwork.
Ever since hearing about the concept of Random Axe – Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, and Sean Price – we knew something special was going to come from it. And although we saw a preview with “Run” off Guilty’s Ode to the Ghetto, we have been patiently waiting for something more. While this mp3 is just a single track, “Monster Babies”, it proves the trio has been working on this project. And, hopefully, we will see the final product before the end of the summer or, at the latest, this fall. (Props to MHH)
NBA Playoffs update: Lakers up 2-1; Magic and Cavs tied. Lebron James hit the biggest shot of his career and the playoffs to tie up the series with ORL. The DEN/LAL series will go at least six games, neither team has shown dominance.
We received a massive overload of excellent submissions the past two days, so instead of making a bunch of posts making things all unorganized, here is one post including three of my favorite MP3s. I apologize if my clever little plan backfires and makes everyone confused. I tried to keep the write-ups as brief as possible, enjoy!
2) Pseudo Slang – “Broke And Copasetic” ft. Vinia Mojica
Along with Pseudo Slang’s announcement of the official release date (June 2nd, Fat Beats) for his upcoming LP, We’ll Keep Looking, he drops a very smooth single featuring Vinia Mojica. This is a very strong first showing of what’s to come from the album…
3) The Good People – “Gotta Think For You” The Good People (Producer Saint & Emcee Emskee), put out the first leak off their Home Coming LP, dropping May 19th on Domination Records, giving you excellent taste of what’s to come. I’m excited to see these guys come together and put out a very focused project like this one is coming out to be. Be on the lookout for more information leading up to this release…
