DJ KO 7 DJ K.O. Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 7 [EP]

DJ K.O. & the Elementality family return again with the 7th installment in a year long series of EP’s that will be released on a monthly basis. Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 7 features the three EMP emcees along with an additional contribution from Rashid Hadee. Production is handled by Analogic, DJ K.O.  & Swedish producer, S.RAW, for this release. Back on November 10, 2009, DJ K.O. embarked on a year long campaign to release 12 EP’s in 12 months. Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 7 is certain to pick up right where Vol. 1 through 6 left off. Can’t forget to shout out the homie Objektiv One on the artwork.  Hit the link below for a download of the brand new EP.

Video: Rashid Hadee – “Lose Control”

I spotted this over at Kevin Nottingham’s site and just had to share it with those of you who might not have seen this. It’s the visuals for Rashid Hadee’s “Lose Control” off his ridiculously great Chopped Not Screwed Vol. 1: 808s & Hadee. Still waitin’ for the second edition of this project, Rashid. Get on it!

Rashid Hadee and Pugs Atomz - StormyStormy represents a collaborative effort by two of Chicago’s finest, Pugs Atomz and Rashid Hadee. Both have made splashes already this year so it only makes sense that they would team up and tackle a project together. Hadee handles most of the production, except for a few guests like Fathom 9 and Tall Black Guy. And there aren’t a lot of guest MCs either — only one, actually, from Von Pea. Stormy is sponsored by and brought to you by the fine folks at Fake Shore Drive and DJBooth. Hit the jump for the rear artwork/track list.

808s & Hadee cover

I first became aware of emcee/producer Rashid Hadee through his work with Pugs Atomz and recently with DJ K.O. and the Beat Society*Picture This remix he did for “That Knack”. He’s back with a new mixtape entitled Chopped Not Screwed Vol.1: 808’s & Hadee. Known as the go to producer of Chicago when you want that good ole soulful boom bap, Rashid Hadee has decided to pay homage to the home team on the first installment of his Chopped Not Screwed mixtape series. It features a couple of members from his Chapter 13 crew (Augustine & Melatone), Decay of The Molemen and Chicago veterans Pugs Atomz and The Primeridian. Chopped Not Screwed Vol.1: 808’s & Hadee is about the artistic expression of the producer and the rapper. Enjoy!
