Multi-talented Dallas native Picnictyme is gearing up to dropping a new solo project, Sea Monsters, that’s instantly landed on our anticipated albums list. Why? Because we’ve had its latest leak, “Horizons”, on repeat this morning. There are multiple reasons for that: Picnictyme’s swoon-worthy vocals; the sharp guest rhymes from A.Dd+; the layered instrumentation; and so on. Erykah Badu Announces Two Albums To Be Released In 2012

Good news for music fans today, as Erykah Badu hints at releasing two albums in 2012. One will be a solo album, the other will be a collaboration with her Dallas-based band, the Cannabinoids. While you might not have heard of them, Badu has been touring and making music with them for years. Included in the group are Picnictyme, S1, Jah Born, Rob Free, DJs A1 and Big Texas, drummer Cleon Edwards, and R.C. Williams. [via]
