Personally, I’m probably going to give Thriller a spin today. Maybe Bad, too. And Off The Wall. Or maybe one of those several tribute mixtapes that dropped last summer. But all I know is I probably won’t create any Michael Jackson tributes as dope as this. To honor the King of Pop’s passing, Aloe Blacc linked up with the Grand Scheme to cover “Billie Jean”. But rather than try to recreate the magic of the original, Blacc and the band put a bluesy, soulful spin on the track to craft one of the best covers I’ve heard. If only I had an mp3 version of this…
