The video is reminiscent of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” with the same psychedelic and hypnotic visuals. The track will only be available as Web-Only bonus for her new album New Amerykah, Part Two (Return of the Ankh) dropping March 30th. Enjoy! And for my first installment, I wanted to post Flying Lotus’s remixes of two Lil Wayne songs. Yes, I know, we hardly ever post anything related to Weezy or Young Money in general. But hey, I — and hopefully you — cannot deny the greatness of these FlyLo remixes. Truth be told, it wouldn’t really matter if the worst MC alive was spitting on these. Luckily enough, the Flying one decided to remix two of Weezy’s better recent efforts in “A Milli” and “I Feel Like Dying”, the latter of which I cannot stop playing. We have the direct mp3 files for both tracks and then the zip file that includes the instrumentals if you don’t want to hear the Martian. A follow up to his instrumental tape Bugs In Ya’ Teef, Five Finger Discount is another addition to this talented young producer’s growing digital download series. This compilation displays a form of Falside’s production rarely heard previous to this release, “the remix.” These 14 remixed tracks make it clear that his work behind the boards can be applied to all styles and tastes. Emcees featured on here range from some of hip-hop’s biggest names (Lil’ Wayne) to local favorites (Dirty Hank) to underground luminaries (Kev Brown). Discussion Poll: Most Overrated Hip-Hop AlbumsPosted on May 6th, 2009 by Gedi Dabakaeri in Discussions, tags: 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Jay-Z, lil wayne, Notorious B.I.G., The Fugees
As much as we have classic albums, we have overrated hip-hop albums. The word overrated is defined as; thinking something is better, stronger and more valuable than it really is. I wanted to include Illmatic in the choices but I feel like that album has way too much significance to be called overrated. However, people do bring it up to the point of annoying so its debatable. Which album do you think is the most overrated?
