Exclusive: Amen – Queens Boulevard [LP]
Last week Amen dropped his lead single featuring Saigon, leading up to the release of his free LP, Queens Boulevard. Although one may attribute the great success of that single to the appearance from Saigon, Amen is here to prove to everyone that he can step with the best of them. Along with some stellar raps from Amen, we also get some fresh production from Khrysis, Johnny Drama, Reasonable, Jah Freedom, and guest spots from Saigon, Sean Boog and more. Give it a spin and share your thoughts after the skip…

Flipping through submissions today and I came across an album that features Keelay & Zaire and Khrysis production on some of the tracks. After peeping a few more cuts, I was thoroughly impressed by emcee Amen and his rapping prowess. Another cat that I think needs a little more experience on the mic, but definitely has potential to become a very entertaining artist. What I also found out, is that this is just one of five free albums with at least ten songs that Amen will be releasing in the time to come. Check this one and out and share your thoughts…

Vandalyzm just sent over his 2008 album, Megatron Majorz, if you had missed it the first time around. It’s good to see some upcoming emcees like Vandal make big moves by putting out some fresh music like this, and it should be interesting to see what he does in the near future (double LP this summer!). Right from the intro, Vandalyzm let’s you know that he is going to hit you over and over again during this 80 minute lyrical adventure, hitting you time and time again with punch lines and witty wordplay. The album features some high-energy production from cats like Khrysis, Swiff D, Flying Lotus, 14KT, Black Spade, and more. Vandalyzm produces a good share of the tracks on the record as well. Check it out and let us know what you think…

Just swiped this off Okayplayer, a free LP from The Away Team & Nervous Reck. This really caught be by surprise, I hadn’t heard the name The Away Team tossed around in quite a bit, I started to think they just called it quits as a group. Khrysis & Sean Boog put together a very solid release in The Training Day, back in 2007, good to see some more music come out. From my understanding, this is an unreleased album back from 2006 that just never saw an official release. The music is just that good and they wanted it to be heard, so they are giving it away for free! Check it out and let us know what you think…
