It’s great to see Apollo Brown’s very solid latest effort, The Reset, getting the promotional push it so deserves. Even though I was admittedly a little tough in my review, I still felt the album was a welcome addition to my collection. Brown is clearly a talented producer with a knack for creating a fantastic sound, especially on this track right here. “Balance” is a spacey mixture of boom-bap and cinematic ambient music while John Robinson and Kenn Starr turn in some fine verses. This is the kind of track you just zone out to and let play on repeat. And does anyone else get brought back to Final Fantasy VII because of this beat? No? I’m the only nerd here then. Great.
