We previously featured King Reign on here for his EP and the remix for D-Sisive’s – “Ray Charles”. He’s  back with the lead single “Money” produced by Boi-1da from his upcoming Reign Music Vol. 2 [EP], which will feature the usual suspects found on the first one, i.e. production from Pharoahe Monch, Rich Kidd, Boi-1da, and more. The new joint features Kardinal Offishall & Saukrates over an uptempo Boi-1da production. Shout out to Element for the fantastic artwork and The Real Frequency for the new music.

For those who don’t know Saukrates is prepping to release his long-awaited sophomore LP Season One later this year. The homie Ear2ear from Everything That’s Fly sent me this incredible Saukrates mixtape he put together. The mixtape features some classics, remixes and rarities that you may or may not have heard over the years by Saukrates. It’s over 75 minutes of music featuring the likes of Common, K-Os, Method Man & Redman, Pharoahe Monch, Kardinal Offishall, Xzibit, King Reign, Rich Kidd, Andreena Mill, Tona, Melanie Fiona, Choclair, Marco Poloe & Torae, Marvel, Drake, & many more! Here’s what looks like an insane (in a good way) tribute to my personal favorite group of all time – De La Soul. Mick Boogie & Terry Urban teamed up with a slew of artists (ranging from Tanya Morgan to Phife Dawg to 6th Sense to Camp Lo to Apple Juice Kid) for this project. I heard a leak the other day for Phife’s  “Peace Porridge” and I can tell you I was interested off that track alone. Download, enjoy, and give thanks to one of the greatest groups to ever do it as well as everyone involved on this mixtape. Hit the jump for the tracklist.

Previously, we posted a link to this great project’s first episode, which was a tribute to the legendary Fela Kuti. Well, this time we have another legend and, we bet, more dope music from K’Naan and J.Period. This has got to be one of the freshest means of promotion we have seen in a while, though we didn’t expect less from either artist involved. They remix classic joints such as “Shot the Sheriff” and “Stir It Up” with guest features from the likes of Kardinal Offishall, Steele (of Smif’N'nWessun) and Bajah. The homie 14KT has been hard at work, grinding away some of the freshest hip-hop production out there. But as we wait for more new releases from the man, he drops off this Dilla-inspired free album, which he made shortly after the passing of the great producer. A bunch of the tracks have leaked around the internet over the past week or so, but today you get to hear the whole thing. A fantastic instrumental tribute to one of the greatest producers to ever do it, showing how much he really influenced the entire hip-hop community.
