I love it when Stones Throw hits us with some gems like this on a random Wednesday (I know it’s Thursday). In honor of J Dilla month, the homie J Rocc threw together some Jaylib tracks and sources into a 30-minute mix. If you weren’t aware, J Rocc was the third member of Jaylib, as he performed on the turntables for Madlib and Dilla at live shows. I don’t know about you, but Champion Sound is an album that will stay in my rotation for many years to come. Give this fantastic mix a listen and let us know what you think…

J Rocc just released a very dope teaser from an upcoming project called Share My Bed. The first track combines Michael Jackson’s acapella of “Butterflies” over Slum Village’s “Players”. The result is Dil Jackson – Player Has Butterflies. Peep the new joint and let us know what you think. Props to Stones Throw

Heading off to the next CMJ event, but I wanted to get these pictures posted from the Plug Research event last night. Some of my all-time favorites were in the building, including Bilal, Blu & Exile, Shafiq Husayn, Pharoahe Monch, J.Rocc, DJ Spinna, Large Professor, Blu Jemz and more. Don’t have time right now to write a full review, but check out the pictures for now and check back soon!
