Le Da Soul FrontHere’s what looks like an insane (in a good way) tribute to my personal favorite group of all time – De La Soul. Mick Boogie & Terry Urban teamed up with a slew of artists (ranging from Tanya Morgan to Phife Dawg to 6th Sense to Camp Lo to Apple Juice Kid) for this project. I heard a leak the other day for Phife’s  “Peace Porridge” and I can tell you I was interested off that track alone. Download, enjoy, and give thanks to one of the greatest groups to ever do it as well as everyone involved on this mixtape. Hit the jump for the tracklist.

dominique larue coverHere is a new track from Dominique Larue, featuring production from one of my favorite indie producers, Illmind. I am new to the music of Ms. Larue, but this is some furious rhyme spitting from the female emcee, definitely placing her on the radar for the time to come. Matter of fact, you can catch Dominique teaming up with Dub MD not too far from now, as they release her debut album, From Ohio With Love, in late October. Along with tracks from Illmind, you can also expect to see Kev Brown, J.Rawls, D/Will and more, gracing the beats of that album. Check it out and share some thoughts after the skip…

Here is a video from Jay ARE, consisting of producer J Rawls and emcee John Robinson, off their LP, The 1960’s Jazz Revolution Again, which drops in stores today! If you have any basic knowledge of the music that has been created by either one of these two cats, then you know that you are in for quite a treat. I believe this video was premiered on OKP not too long ago, but I didn’t really get the memo until today. Check it out and enjoy!

(01) J Rawls - Hotel Beats Vol. 1Here is a free download from highly esteemed producer J Rawls that caught me by surprise late on this Wednesday evening. An album comprised of 21 instrumentals, created entirely in a hotel room not too long ago. Not the most riveting concept, but definitely an acceptable excuse to year some fresh beats! And if that isn’t enough, J Rawls drops a sneak peak of his upcoming project with John Robinson, JAY ARE, as a bonus cut on this freebie. Check out this Mighty Healthy NYC sponsored project and let us know what you think…
