I am new to the music of Ms. Larue, but this is some furious rhyme spitting from the female emcee, definitely placing her on the radar for the time to come. Not much needed to be said here, Illmind has beats, dope beats. And with his third installment of the popular series, Blaps, Rhymes & Life, Ill gives us some new originals and remixes to bump this summer. If you are not familiar with Illmind and his music, this should definitely be a good introduction to his diverse selection of production styles at his disposal. One minute you can be hit with a more mainstream beat, then the next you are spinning a straight backpacker joint that gets the neck snapping. Take my word for it and give it a listen and be sure to share your thoughts as well…

Slow day today so I went over to okayplayer and swiped this high-energy Skyzoo joint featuring Wale and produced by Illmind. It’s good to hear some new, fresh material from Skyzoo, and he seems to be coming stronger than ever. And of course you can expect a dope beat on here from New Jersey’s own, Illmind. Just about every artist we follow is out in Austin, Texas getting their SXSW on, fortunately the boss of indie labels, MYX Music, supplied us with a free mixtape to hold us over until they all return with their regular blast of free downloads and such. The tape features label members and some other special guests including; Illmind, Keelay & Zaire, Supastition, Emilio Rojas, Fortilive and much more. The new label put out their first release last week with Keelay & Zaire’s Ridin High and has a very promising future. Be on the lookout for more music from the homies at MYX in the near future!
