Dumhi – The Jungle Instrumentals [LP]

the jungle art Dumhi The Jungle Instrumentals [LP]After releasing this project to critical acclaim, the Dumhi collective has liberated the instrumentals to The Jungle. Haj, the man behind the boards of this group, has been a Potholes favorite since we started this nonsense back in January 2009. And why wouldn’t he be? Whether on his own or with his crew, he has crafted some of the finest production work we’ve had the opportunity to post and sponsor. In particular, I know plenty of people are still playing his Flowers project that dropped last year, too.

You can stream the instrumental for “Philly Cousins” below and download the project after the jump. The link will take you to Dumhi’s Bandcamp, where you can pay what you want, including absolutely nothing.

Dumhi – “Philly Cousins” feat Reef The Lost Cauze

Reef The Lost Cauze Dumhi Philly Cousins feat Reef The Lost Cauze

Since the beginning of Potholes, there have been a few artists that we have built a personal bond and grown together with. Haj of Dumhi is one of those artists. So when I see a homie like that taking things to the next level, it hits a special place for me. Today, Dumhi unleashes the first single from the upcoming project, The Jungle, which will be available June 15th. Along with the heater “Philly Cousins”, I can assure you that the album will feature more of that Ethiopian influenced sampling, heavy drums and intense horns. We can also look forward to the stacked feature lineup that will appear on the album, including Che Grand, Reef The Lost Cauze, Elucid, Random, Jermiside and more. Give the single a spin and check out the nice video that accompanies it after the skip.

Video: Dumhi – “No Redemption” feat. Elucid

Here is a little makeshift promotional video for the homie Dumhi’s upcoming project, The Jungle. The track featured here is called “No Redemption”, and it calls the homie Elucid to the microphone. I am usually not a fan of videos like this, but the song is just that good! Along with this we also get word that The Jungle will be receiving a June release date, and it will feature the likes of Reef The Lost Cauze, Che Grand, Random, Ethel Cee, Jermiside and more! Check this out and let us know what you think…

Exclusive: MF Reef – “Rhymes Like Dimes” [mp3]

Reef+the+Lost+Cauze+410pxX2 205x300 Exclusive: MF Reef Rhymes Like Dimes [mp3]Haj from Dumhi shot over this fun little track a few minutes ago, and I had no choice but to make a post. It’s eerie how well Reef the Lost Cauze comes to matching DOOM’s flow. What’s even weirder is that the words he spits seem as if DOOM himself could have wrote them. But yeah, just a little something for you guys to enjoy as we wait for some new Reef and Dumhi. Enjoy!

Video: Reef The Lost Cauze & Dumhi – “Squeeze”

Haji Haj of Dumhi shot over this excellent promo video for his joint off Yoga At Home. This is just the first two verses of the song, but it’s definitely worth copping the record to hear the rest. Yoga dropped a few years ago, probably before any of you were even aware of the Dumhi movement. I urge you all to run up on iTunes and cop that album, and get up on the rest of their past work. Along with the killer production, you can expect to see some legendary appearances from cats like Reef The Lost Cauze, Sadat X, Che Grand, Trek Life, Random, Von Pea, Jermiside and more!
