The digital label/music collective, Absent Fever, is teaming up with the physical label, JAXART records, to present their first ever physical release. This new release is a compilation/mixtape that is centered around a new crop of young, forward-thinking, LA-based musicians.

“Generation Y Not is a compilation of 7 young Los Angeles artists, all of whom are part of the enormous movement of youth in music. The compilation is a feature on the paramount shift in music culture, how because of the internet and the way this generation has grown up with the ability to create and share so easily, music has been taken into the hands of youth.

In order to introduce you to the artists of Generation Y Not, 7 videos have been made, one with each musician, three of which have been posted on PORTALS in the past few weeks, and four of which will be posted on PORTALS throughout the coming weeks.

 JAXART Records will be pressing 1,000 CD’s that will distributed and available for free. More details on that soon!”

Just got this track in, another web-exclusive from Black Milk. It’s called “Mo Power” and it features some jazz-influenced loops that keep the noggin nodding.
