Lil Wayne Releases Album Cover Art, Designed By Kanye West’s DONDA

Remember the creative agency Kanye West said he was starting called DONDA? And then they claimed to make the next Facebook by basically putting out a copy of the Who.Is service and called it WhoDat.biz. Well, apparently that was a hoax, but it appears DONDA really is a second-rate “creative” agency after all, as they show off their latest piece of artwork in Lil Wayne’s upcoming I Am Not A Human Being II album cover. At first glance, I assume most of you are going to question if this is really it. All this amazing “creative agency” could come up with was a butterfly in a dark room.

Well, that’s not all. Apparently some of West’s artists have been watching a lot of horror movies, as they clearly drew inspiration from the promotional posters for The Silence of the Lambs. Don’t believe it? Check out the poster at the bottom of this post. Maybe just a coincidence, and maybe I am being a little harsh. But to be honest, I think we were all expecting a bit more out of an agency that West talked up so much in the beginning. And for those of you who haven’t given up on Lil Wayne — who gave Kanye permission to do the art by saying, “I was just like ‘okay, do whatever,’ because I don’t do nothing but rapping” — you can expect I Am Not A Human Being II to drop March 26.

Watch A Trailer For Kanye West’s ‘Cruel Winter’ Short Film

While we have been hearing about G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Winter album, it looks like a musical project isn’t the only thing we are going to get in the colder months ahead of us. Taking to YouTube, Kanye West has liberated a trailer for what is being called the Cruel Winter short film, which comes complete with an eerie video narration and shots of chilling landscapes. It looks like the project is being launched under the DONDA organization, which we have heard so much about already.

No word on when we will see the full short film, or the album for that matter, but we do know that Q-Tip is playing a big role. Which makes us think this thing is going to have a much bigger impact on an artistic level than Cruel Summer did. Watch the trailer below.

UPDATE: Def Jam is denying that this is a real trailer.

UPDATE #2: Fuse reports that this indeed not endorsed by Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music, but it’s simply an interpretation by a fan. Too bad.

Apparently Kanye West Is Going To Create Cities and Amusement Parks Now

Okay, the whole Cannes film thing sounded like a bit of a stretch at the time, but at least it was feasible. In a recent interview with GQ, Kanye mentioned that with his DONDA collective, he plans on creating cities and amusement parks. Wait, what? Kanye went on to add:

“What I want to do post-Grammys is I want to work on cities, I want to work on amusement parks, I want to change entertainment experiences or life. Something like if McQueen or Tarsem [Singh] was to meet the entertainment value of a Cirque du Soleil or a Walt Disney. With the Donda company, this is our first installation.”

So, yeah, apparently Kanye has some ambitious plans. But do you think he is going to be able to pull it off?
