I showed love to this California producer a few weeks back via one of my sporadic Under The Radar posts that highlighted several of the beats he’s shared for free on Soundcloud. And I’m glad to see that now I can post some actual new album material from Dibia$e as I’ve been looking forward to some stuff like this as of late. “Lumberjack”, which I grabbed off the always-great site Culture King, might fall under what some people label as (shudder) “post-Dilla.” But seeing how I hate that term, I’m just going to call this straight-up dope. That’s it. The layering of sounds on here is simply great and I love the use of the wavering synths, in particular.
“Lumberjack” can be streamed below or downloaded after the jump. Dibia$e’s Machines Hate Me is due out in September.
