Oddisee continues his winning streak with his fourth seasonal EP, Odd Spring. Starting in the summer of 2009, he has brought a killer free project that greatly grasps the vibe and feel of each season. And many times, these EPs act as a means of previewing an upcoming project. For example, Odd Spring features a track called “The Beat is for Finale” that more than likely will feature the Detroit rapper when their collaborative Odds & Ends project drops this year. This free sampling of Oddisee material also hosts features from his Diamond District crew, Muneshine, Kingpin Slim, and Olivier Daysoul. Pardon my lateness, but this album deserves a post. Coming from XO, one third of the esteemed Diamond District, this is something you will want to feast your ears on. Featuring some fantastic production from AB, Oddisee, and Soulful, you already know you have a handful of guaranteed bangers ahead of you. I am really starting to feel spoiled over here with all this wonderful free music coming out of the DMV. Definitely the home of one of the more exciting movements in hip-hop. Marty spotted this over at URB, and I am now posting it for his lazy busy ass. Not that I wouldn’t post it myself, this is some real fire right here! In light of El Michels Affair’s Enter the 37th Chamber, we get a remix track with the good old Diamond District folks.
