This man has a way with making catchy hooks. He isn’t a lyrical monster by any means, but David Dallas creates great songs. “Til Tomorrow” is another example of that. Taking on a heavy Ratatat sample, David tells us a story of how he hopes that tomorrow brings something better than what he has today. Give it a listen and let us know what you think.

It’s the summer in New Zealand, and I wish it was still the summer here as well. With that, our New Zealand homie David Dallas, releases this warm weather anthem to kick back to. Is it just me or has there been a ton of great free music released over the past few days? And it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Here’s the latest mixtape from yet another Potholes favorite, Buff1. He’s got beats from Black Milk, Astronote, and M-Phazes as well as new Crown Royale joints. If you didn’t know, Crown Royale is the pairing up of Buff1 and DJ Rhettmatic — their album should be dropping relatively soon in 2010. Just another joint from David featuring some of the freshest production around, this time showing off his skill laceing a more down-tempo track. Where I think he flourishes the most though is in his ability to craft the perfect, infectious hook. Something that so many underground emcees usually just don’t understand how to do. Che just hit me with a fresh exclusive from the homie David Dallas, an emcee out of New Zealand that we have been following since he dropped his video for “Big Time“. A high energy track that happens to be the song that Mr. Dallas leads his live set off with, so be sure to raise your volume up to the maximum for this one.
