Here’s the latest cut from Falside, one of my favorite (local) producers. For this track, he’s officially remixing “King of the Jungle” by heavy-hitting MCs Blaq Poet, Termanology, and Jaysaun (of Special Teamz). Aside from being a nice lil’ Christmas gift, this cut serves as a preview of Fal’s upcoming official remix LP, which is due out mid-2010.

With all the hype surrounding Blaq Poet’s Tha Blaqprint, he has finally announced the official release date (June 30), along with a free sampler, giving a taste of what to expect. The Blaqprint will feature production from DJ Premier on all but two tracks, giving you that boom-bap vibe that has been vacant from hip-hop for far too long. The sampler runs through 15 tracks in 21 minutes, including the favorite singles like “Ain’t Nuttin’ Changed” and “Voices”. Give it a listen and be on your toes for more news as we lead up to the June 30th release on Year Round Records.
