DJ K.O. & Beat Society recently got together for the Ladder of Success Remix Contest. The contest aimed to give producers a chance to come up in the game and climb the “Ladder of Success” by remixing a track from DJ K.O.’s album Picture This that featured verses from Phonte, Wordsworth, K-Hill & Masta Ace. Check out the winning submission below from SeeMore, a UK prodcer, that will be featured on the upcoming album Picture These Remixes via Soulspazm Records on January 19, 2010.
As Beat*Society & DJ K.O. get closer to releasing Picture These Remixes, they’ve teamed to give up and coming producers one more chance to get on the project with the “Ladder of Success” Remix Contest.
Here’s what DJ K.O. had to say about the song and opportunity…
This track was the first song completed for my album “Picture This” way back in 2006. The idea for the song came about while sitting at a bar with Analogic (who produced the original track). We were plotting on how to make an entrance into the game. Somehow we got on the topic of ill emcees and started talking about Phonte, Masta Ace & Wordsworth.
Another new leak off the upcoming remix project with Beat*Society: Master Thieves Vol. 2 (Picture These Remixes) which is being released October 27th, 2009. This time around the Madwreck remixed “Nobody Like Me” which features EDO G, Diamond D & Kaze. It’s completely flipped from the original vibe which was real clean and crisp. Madwreck brought the rawness. Let us know what you think.
