I have been a big(ger) supporter of T. Calmese since I heard last year’s fantastic New Jack Kings project, which featured him and Vaughan T rapping over New Jack Swing-sampling tracks. And from there, I have tried to bring you every subsequent release from Calmese. Those have mostly included free songs from his forthcoming album, which is hopefully due out soon. But here, he’s dropped off his debut, Creme De La Creme, from when he used to rap as Illite. The album includes loads of our favorites, including Zo!, Magestik Legend, and Astronote, along with that gritty Motor City sound.
