Symphony Hall – “One Night Stand” F. Jay Norton

I’m not good at predicting trends and using data and statistics or whatever, but it seems to me that the new underground sensation out of Europe right now is for producers to create these funky electronic beats and recruit these crazy unknown vocalists to sing over their creations. Marble Music is at the forefront of this, and their release of “One Night Stand” is gaining them even more legitimacy in this field of vocal electronic music.

Symphony Hall is U.K. legend Riton and Club Cheval member (and personal favorite of mine) Canblaster, who just had a powerful release on Marble. The two teamed up to create what is described as “Definitely not for a one night stand, and clearly the beginning of a long, smooth love story you really need, just right now”, and that about sums it up. Jay Norton’s uniquely British voice adds the perfect complement to the R&B/electronic hybrid instrumental, creating an absolute winner of a song.

Buy this single along with its brother track, the crunchy [and equally good] rave tribute “Metal Arrives” on iTunes.
