Sweet Valley (Wavves & KYNAN) – “Total Carnage”

KYNAN mentioned this project a while back, but today we get the official word that Joel and Nathan Williams are putting out a mixtape this summer. Nathan Williams, you know, the frontman of Wavves. Anyway, the brothers are going under the moniker Sweet Valley, and their mixtape is going to be called Stay Calm. It boasts nine summery beats, all of which see the indie rockers branching out into the realm of hip-hop.

For our first taste of the project, “Total Carnage” is a looped gem of sampled goodness. Perfect for sitting on the deck with a nice cold one. Seriously, though, this mixtape can’t come out soon enough. Stay Calm is due out August 7 via Fool’s Gold.
