In May 2012, I low-key lost my mind over Supreme Cuts and Haleek Maul‘s then-latest collaboration, “Gully“. It was our first sampling of their joint project, the superb Chrome Lips, and a clear sign that they were a great musical match. That’s also clear on the Chicago production duo’s latest single, “Isis”, which will land on their upcoming album, Divine Ecstasy. As easy as it is to get lost in their ethereal-but-booming instrumental, it’s Maul’s more straightforward approach that really grabs you here.
