Superpoze and Stwo have something. What it is I don’t know, but it’s something truly exciting. “Untitled” is a stunning ethereal mix of swirling feminine samples and dreamlike instrumentation. There is so much going on here that’s it’s hard to place a finger on what makes it great. The textures within the song are rich, but simultaneously sparse. The sample of a woman is chopped in such a way that it’s in a constant state of start and stop motion.
The track is also a marriage of two distinct musical personalities. Perhaps, the beauty lies within the controlled chaos of the whole affair as the song never lingers on one sentiment for too long. If this is any indication of Superpoze and Stwo’s musical marriage, then the duo’s Untitled/Late EP is definitely one to check out when it drops Sept. 29 on Combien Mille.
