On its face, yes, it’s a tribute to Jill Scott and a preview of his upcoming project dedicated to the songstress, Jackin’ Jill. But the Marcus D-produced cut arrives on a very heavy day for Substantial. He headed to the doctor’s today for a follow-up exam some two years after getting preventive surgery related to cancer.
