Stream Yosi Horikawa’s ‘Vapor’ In Its Entirety

yosi horikawa vaporAs a graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy, Yosi Horikawa has slowly been working towards his full-length debut. Today, we finally get a taste of the project, Vapor. With 16 tracks to work with Yosi does a fine job exemplifying how vast his sound can be. Employing a slew of worldly sounds, from African tribal rhythms to ’80s synthesizers, the blend is more than eclectic. And he does a fine job of pulling it all together, too, as Vapor turns out to be a cohesive project throughout. [via]

Yosi Horikawa’s Vapor drops June 24 via First Word. Listen to it now below.

  2. The cool thing (though a pain for sorting playlists by genre) is that some artists, like Horikawa, blend and transcend typical genres.

  3. It almost feels like a new niche created within the relams of the electronic genre, although this might be my rudimental knowledge. Regardless it’s dope!

  4. About to check this out. Stars plus the visuals for it are ambient and although some synths are present it paints a beautiful soundscape.
