Fans of Tricky have been sitting tight, waiting for the release of Tricky‘s latest full-length, False Idols. Compared to prior efforts, False Idols is a fine evolution. Employing Francesca Belmonte and Fifi Rong for vocals, Tricky’s has found a new comfort zone in laid back beats and pillow talk. Strung together with a wide array of percussion and thunderously deep bass, Tricky has yet again built upon his seemingly endless palette of sounds and songwriting. While this release might have snuck up on many of us this year, it is a welcome addition to the growing list of quality 2013 releases.
