It has been three long years in the making, but the follow up to 2009’s absolutely stellar debut from The xx is here. As with any debut album that comes with so much positive critical reception and sonic maturity, the task of the sophomore release is always a difficult one. On Coexist The xx are making strides to advance their sound they created on their debut, all while still maintaining what made them so enjoyable in the first place.
