If you’re a fan of the remix work of Ta-ku, you’re in luck. The Perth, Australia producer just dropped Re-Twerk Vol. II, which combines caffeinated originals with super-hype remixes and reworks. To be fair, not everything on here will make you want to, say, spend the rest of your day in the club.
The Justin Timberlake-sampling “Hey Justin Pt.II”, for example, thumps like the rest of the cuts, but it’s not quite as “HEY YOU DANCE NOW!” as its cohorts. Likewise, Ta-ku’s remix of JMSN’s “Love & Pain” is contemplative amidst thunderous bass and skittering percussion. Elsewhere, Ameriie get chopped up on “One Thing About Footwork” and, well, you should know what to expect from a song entitled “Ciarabuble”.
Anyway, you can stream and/or purchase the collection below.
