RETRO finally releases his anticipated The 6 mixtape. The title references the fact that he’s the youngest of six children in his family, so choosing to drop it on the 6th day of the month makes sense. We previously premiered “1946” and the Tupac homage “How U Want It”, both of which are part of this new mixtape. The 15-track project serves as his debut since touring with Rich Homie Quan and RiFF RaFF earlier this year. I would describe the sound on The 6 as a combination of trap and melodic. Between the occasional Migos sounding flow on party records we also get some R&B records like “1 Night Only” and “Tell Me” along with jazzy/experimental “1946”.
