Nick Wisdom and AstroLogical are Potatohead Music–a Vancouver/Montreal production duo that we are just now catching wind of. While we have heard a bit of AstroLogical’s music before, it appears the chemistry between him and his new collaborative partner Nick Wisdom is rather high. Their sound is rooted in hip-hop, but takes on rich jazz melodies that are carried by floating synthesizers and drum breaks. Potatohead Music also finds a way to bring on three very talented vocalists for the EP, including Moka Only, Claire Mortifee and Frank Nitt, all of whom shine on here.
