Mux Mool is a versatile producer, almost too versatile for his own good. While he has a ton of fabulous remixes to his name, as well as some stunning solo and collaborative work in the bag, I feel like he has fallen short when it comes to putting together cohesive projects. Skulltaste, his full-length debut, was solid, but it didn’t really hit me the same way some of his prior work did. With that being said, Mux Mool is ready to launch his latest album, Planet High School, which is by far a more refined final product than anything we have ever heard from the Minnesota-by-way-of-Brooklyn producer. Today we get a chance to dive into the album, which stands at a brief 8 tracks, but is rewarding nonetheless. Planet High School is out today via Ghostly.
