The long awaited follow up to Jewellery is finally upon, thanks to the whimsical work of Micachu and the Shapes. Their latest effort is called Never, and it stands strong with lots of chaotic musical jabs, just as their 2009 debut did. Don’t expect many soothing melodies here, as jagged instrumentation dominate here. With such short tracks, and harsh lyrical delivery, Never could be mistaken for a modern day punk album, with a touch of indie and grime. But the idea is not to hold Micachu to any genres, as you and I both know she is one of the best at bending expectations. [via]
