Download Lord Byron’s New Album ‘Dark Arts Vol. 2’

Denver’s Lord Byron shares the name with the 19th century poet, yes, the historical literary figure.  I can only imagine how much pressure that could put on someone, especially who’s expected to have a way with words. He handles it well, very well in fact.

My first time listening to him (the first installment of his Dark Arts series to be specific) earlier in the year involved something I don’t experience with the surplus of young rappers out there, whenever a song was nearly finished playing I would have those rare “woah, run that back” moments just to soak in what he said. It was the way he told his stories about growing up living in Dallas through good (& also troublesome) situations. Now multiply that experience times two, and out comes Dark Arts Vol. 2 — an even more observant Byron this time around backed by production from his close pals Brrd, ★★★★★™ & DGH. The free album is one of the first from his own label Very Nice Very Nice, give a well-deserved spin & download below.

I feel the content of the verses definitely some other realm of lyricism.

I like his style. Seems there is this new movement in sound and flow. They are going low fi with a slower tempo…I like him.
