Stream J Dilla’s Previously Vinyl-Only ‘Dillatroit’ Album

dillatroitWhen it comes to posthumous releases by J Dilla, I tend to favor the ones that are made up entirely of his own music. By that I mean no one else has been tacked on to the tracks or anything outside of what he had accomplished prior to his passing. Sure, I dug some moments on that Yancey Boys album, but I’m a purist. And with that in mind, I’m happy to see (and hear) that his previously vinly-only posthumous release, Dillatroit, has made its way to the digital realm. The fine folks at DJ Booth got the jump on the stream, which I highly suggest giving a listen. It includes two bonus tracks from that Lost Scrolls EP.

You can stream Dillatroit below thanks to DJ Booth. Buy it on Amazon.

Thank you for that. I feel the same way. I would just rather you let dilla breath on these. I dont really need the other folks over his work. Only time this has worked IMO was Jay Stay Paid. With the beats..and random features from people who did justice to his work.
