Stream Eminem’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ In Its Entirety

eminem marshal mathers lp 2It’s pretty much impossible to avoid bootlegging and illegal leaks as an artist. So when Eminem and his team saw that his upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, leaked ahead of its Nov. 5 release, they took to iTunes to allow fans to stream it in its entirety beforehand. I haven’t had a chance to listen yet aside from the singles and official leaks—like “Rap God” and “The Monster“—but I’m sure I’ll get around to it this weekend. If you give it a listen, be sure to let us know what you think in the comments section. We have a review in the works, of course, but I definitely want to know what y’all think of it.

You can stream the album here.

  1. I had a listen to the new Eminem album and can say it definitely was a great listen i didn’t like every track but there where 2 of the tracks that stood out for me Bad Guy and Rap G both great songs http://www.soundofmusicmobiledisco.com

  2. its better than exceted! though his voice and flow is more series than mm lp 1, he recreated the same humor and bullshit…

  3. Excellent album. After modern “rappers” like drake, kanye (hes good, but Yeezus just Uh) asap rocky, its like a breath of air.
Beats produced mostly by Em, straight hip hop, sometimes emotional, sometimes funny, sometimes psychotic and evil – its just Eminem at best.
HONESTLY GUYS, Em in his 41 comes up with really nice hip-hop.
Just forget about comparasing with MMLP1, and u feel the vibe of it.

  4. I guess if I’m including Bonus tracks, I should probably include Desperation and Beautiful Pain as skippable as well. But I still stand by my comment above.

  5. I feel like people are being are being a little harsh in their opinions of this album. Em may have set himself up for that by naming it after his best album, in my opinion, but this is definitely his most solid outing since The Eminem Show. I know comparatively that doesn’t say too much as Encore and Relapse were terrible and Recovery was a bit of a mixed bag. But still, after my initial listen, the only real tracks I’m skipping here are A**hole, Survival, Stronger Than I Was, and The Monster. And while I wish he would pick beats that more subtly and creatively sample classic rock songs rather than relying on them to carry the hook, only four truly skippable tracks out of 21 (including Bonus tracks) is not terrible when everything else is very solid. This may not be a “classic,” but it is certainly better than average and blows everything else I have heard from the mainstream this year out of the water.

  6. Otherwise known as… “meh”

  7. disappointing. no one should ever doubt eminem’s ability to rap. he is one of the best. but this album is to Eminem as Lasers was to Lupe. or what The 20/20 Experience 2 was to JT.

better than magna carta in content but rick rubin did not help hov much either.

the album is stale. sadly, eminem often sounds like his computer only picks up anything that happened back in 2007.

there will never be another rapper like eminem. eminem used to rap about being compared to elvis, an insult. but eminem is one of the few rappers to reach the cultural icon status of elvis. I would say that guys like Hov and Em who are larger than life figures already are up there with Elvis, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra.

the problem is that hip-hop is intrinsically a culture of subversion of the establishment. it is hyper competitive and the rap game is more than just a game.

“When you’re so good that you can’t say it / Cause it ain’t even cool for you to sound cocky anymore” – No Love, Eminem

I definitely believe Eminem will one day put out another truly great classic hit. His career is not over.

I think this album’s biggest flaw is that you know that Jimmy Iovine and Interscope are pulling too much of the creative strings. Do you really think Eminem enjoyed being on ESPN to premier Bezerk?

2013 was a sobering year for hip-hop albums. the span of a hip hop artist career is shorter than ever.

most rappers from XXL freshmen 2010 have been dropped by their label or struggling to put an album out.

music is put out faster than ever. older rappers are not going to keep up with hungry young rappers.

Eminem and Hov are going to have a hard time making art that resonates since they have reached a point where they have been rich and successful longer than they have been on the bottom.

I believe that the overall opinion of Eminem’s album by most people will be less than favorable. Unlike Relapse where the direction was the issue, this album is just not a winner. Most likely by Thanksgiving, Em’s new songs will be off the radio.

Eminem will definitely address his missteps and discover new found hunger and struggle to make something better next time. hopefully it is not called “The Eminem Show 2: Guess Who’s Back?”
