For full-length releases in independent music, this week might be one of the year’s best. One group we have been keeping our eye on is Darkside, the collaborative efforts of Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington. Their new album is coming out Oct. 8, and it is called Psychic. We heard a sampling of it a few weeks ago, immediately enchanted by the lengthy buildups and abstract soundscapes. We expect to hear more of that creativity on the remainder of this project, which is stream in its entirety now.
