More and more blossoming buds have begun to sprout from the cracks of Washington, D.C.’s hip-hop scene as of late; today we bring to you Just Beetz Vol. 1, the latest release from a young indie label on the rise, a professional finder of fulfilling producers from our nation’s capital. CrackBeetz Records has specialized in scrounging the grass roots of its city’s music culture since 2011, assembling a remarkably talented ensemble of eclectic individuals for our listening pleasure.
Three previously unheard songs from three different artists compile Just Beetz: “Midnight”, ChooKy’s majestically electro call to the wild; “Don’t You Wanna”, Rvdical the Kid’s reverberated, drum-stuttering space ballad; and “No Use”, Tek.Lun’s futuristic remix of Clara Hill’s smooth original. Together, this trio of tracks fails to disappoint.
