Stones Throw Podcast #64 Mixed by Peanut Butter Wolf

I am sure 99% of the people that visit this site are already subscribers to the Stones Throw podcast, but for the 1% of you that aren’t, here is an absolutely killer 50-minute jam. With label leader and DJ extraordinaire Peanut Butter Wolf on the 1’s & 2’s, the man runs through a slew of material that you can expect to drop on Stones Throw in 2011. Included in the mix we have new music from Dam-Funk, MED, James Pants, J. Rocc, Anika, Mayer Hawthorne, CX Kidtronik (I’m saving a real funny story about this homie for another post) and more.  I also included a snippet from the mix of just the new Madvillain cut, “Avalanche” & “Victory Lap”. I must say, if any of the leaks from this project hold true, I could become a fan of Madlib and DOOM once again. Check out the mix after the skip, and another example of Peanut Butter Wolf’s ugly hat fetish up top.

Seriously – If it doesn’t drop, Stones Throw stock plummets in my book.

  2. Madvillain, 2011, please.

  3. Yeah, this was an unusually solid set…2011 is gonna be a mighty good year for music. Last year was, too, I think people are just gradually getting used to the fact nobody can make a decent album to save their life anymore.
