Stalley – “The Tune Up”

I owe Stalley an apology. Why?  Because his manager came to Potholes a year or two ago with his debut project, a mixtape of rhymes over classic Madlib instrumentals. I discounted the project as I thought the rhymes were mediocre, and I had little interest in hearing raps over Madlib’s instrumentals, which were instrumentals for a reason. But as time has passed, Stalley has teamed up with some of hip-hops best and he has become a premiere emcee in his own right. While Andrew has done the majority of reporting on his work on Potholes, I thought it was only right I paid my own respects to this rising star. “The Tune Up” will appear on Stalley’s upcoming project Lincoln Way Nights, which is dropping February 8. 1. Very ill, nice and humble dude. Check the interview WGTJ did with him in Toronto arranged by no other than his manager you mentioned
