Stalley – “Babblin'”

I’ll come out and admit it: I slept on Stalley. I’m even sure why I did. I always thought his rhymes were better than most of his contemporaries and he’s been running with some great cats, from the DD172 collective to guys like J. Rawls. On that note, we have the J. Rawls-produced “Babblin'” from Stalley’s The Autobiography. The jazzy, breezy joint was turned into a video after director Brandan “BMike” Odums was inspired by the track, which  unintentionally made him think of the division within his hometown of New Orleans. What we’re left with is an already dope track transformed into an eye-catching video to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Stream “Babblin'” below and check the visuals after the jump.

  1. I really like this track. I’ve not given Stalley much attention since hearing of him. Maybe I’ll give The Autobiography a moment of my time.

  2. Slick, awesome, on point. Great piece of work.
