You must download this release. Especially while it’s still free. Why? It’s odd, yes. It’s challenging too. Put Some Red On It has Spoek Mathambo singing robotically, rapping over clicks and shakers that push the tracks into high gear. Not convinced yet? Well, it’s awesome too because Machinedrum and Shabazz Palaces put down remixes for the title track, “Put Some Red On It”. This cat recently signed with Sub Pop and there’s some trance influence, Africana vibe, mostly, it’s just fucking good. I’m partial to the Shabazz Palaces remix, but this whole EP is pretty fun to listen to. Get to it ya’ll and snag this before it’s too late.
