Soul Khan – Resolution [EP]

Soul Khan Soul Khan Resolution [EP]Brooklyn goes hard. We’ve seen some pretty nice stuff coming from the Borough of Trees.  And, some grimy productions. Soul Khan continues the tradition of soulful, borough bumping hip-hop that’s quick-witted on the chorus with serious mic skills on the verses. Resolution is a fresh four track release with tracks oddly named, “Anne Hathaway” and “Lord Khan Almighty”. On the former track he’s saying, “Cut you like you a lunch line.” Sounds elementary, sure, but the delivery is smooth over some falsetto vocal stabs. The production has heavy handed sampling and it’ll remind you of New York in the ’90s. I’ve listened three times through and it’s nice. Nice, but with a mean streak.
