Sole has remained extremely active as an MC over the past seven years working with the Skyrider Band and other groups, so it’s hard to think that it’s been that long since his previous solo outing. But sure enough, that’s when Live From Rome dropped, and it’s taken until this year for us to hear his follow-up. It’s titled A Ruthless Criticism Of Everything Existing after a Karl Marx essay of the same name and it stresses the need for humans to extend beyond economics.
The album is also simply off to a killer start with lead single “Young Sole”, a bravado-laden joint featuring some choice quotables like “This is Kanye at Haymarket.” The track’s got a nice summery vibe to it, too, thanks in part to Factor’s bright, albeit slightly menacing, vocal sample-driven production.
You can stream the track below and head over to Sole’s Kickstarter to assist in the production of A.R.C.O.E.E.
