Producer Ben Borden and vocalist David Ertel have teamed up to form Solar Year, a promising duo that have just wrapped up work on their forthcoming album Waverly. Our first taste of the project is “Global Girlfriend”, an atmospheric adventure through layered melodies and floating synths. In fact, this track, along with the rest of Waverly, is a revamp of the original record which was dropped about a year ago. Let me tell you, though, it sounds like a totally new experience the second time around.
