Snoop Lion Rejected By The Rastafari Community

snoop-lionYeah, this whole scheme didn’t seem all that authentic from the beginning, but now Snoop Dogg is officially being exposed. After changing his name to Snoop Lion, making a movie about becoming a Rastafarian in Jamaica, and recording a reggae album, it appears some of the Rasta community is upset.

Bunny Wailer, a founding member of the Wailers, has apparently called out Snoop and his Reincarnated documentary. Also, the Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council has issued a seven-page letter to Snoop telling him that smoking weed and making reggae music doesn’t make you a Rastafarian. Hopefully Snoop Lion responds to these claims soon, we can’t wait to hear what he has to say about the whole ordeal.

snoop can’t just call himself snoop lion and expect rastas to be like hey ya youre the new hailie selassie. Clearly stepping on their culture. How else are they supposed to react?

Snoop is a funny dude and while I enjoy his reggae songs so far, I can totally understand the real Rastafarians. For Snoop this is just some middle life crisis, when for them the whole Rasta thing is their culture. On the other hand, i’d much rather listen to Snoop’s reggae songs produced by Diplo, than shitty songs with Soulja Boy and RnB singers.

Am glad your not the only who feel that way. Snoop has been a sham for years and I can’t believe people religiously idolize him as a genius or a messiah just because he makes weed anthems every fucking track. Seriously he needs to retire and just leave altogether.

At the end of this, I hope Snoop-a-loop becomes the final person in the world to realize what bullshit he’s put us all through.
