“Slow magic is the sound made by an unknown imaginary friend.” That is the description on Slow Magic’s Bandcamp page, also written in two other languages. While the artist’s identity is shrouded in a cloud of internet, the song “Sorry Safari” gives you something tangible. It’s chillwave, with some piano mixed in, featuring some vocal sample distortion that reminds me of what Major Lazer did on “Pon De Floor”. Interesting and a lot better than most that try to make musical companions to scenes of the beach life.
