We’ve already gotten hip to Slow Magic thanks to Mr. Kochis. After releasing “Sorry Safari” –their underwater brand, piano clad, video game lead single–they’re quick to drop a three track EP with much of the same energy. Together the tracks only last 9 minutes though they’re jam-packed with driving pads, screaming samples and skillful ivory work. My favorite, “Corvette Cassette” combines the speed of a high-octane race car and grittiness of a cassette that’s been sitting in the sun all day. It warbles, it moves at a pace meant for asphalt, it’s awesome. It’s also the type of music that’ll transport you to the moon in a Michel Gondry-inspired, cardboard cut-out spaceship. [via]
