Sides Of Chaz is the latest side project of Toro Y Moi‘s Chaz Bundick, who here crafts what has been described on Soundcloud as a “sweet ass weirdo pop jam.” At least, that’s what the label, Fork & Spoon Records, wrote about “Sweet Tea”. I can agree with that description, though I’d like to throw “drunken” in there somewhere. The guitars and a fair amount of Chaz’s vocals are woozy and leave me feeling like I’m in a beer-induced daze. That’s not a bad thing, of course, though repeated listens (like the ones I’ve had) might cause dizziness. And joy. Plenty of joy.
